About Us

Kallenbach Missions was started in September 1998 when a guest missionary at our church spoke about members of our church participating in a short term mission trip in January 1999. We were drawn to go on this trip but had no money to cover the costs of the trip. We met with our Pastor and discussed the situation with him. Our Pastor told us if it is God’s will He will make a way but we needed to take a step of faith and begin to raise the money for the trip. God supplied our need on the day before the money was due and even provided enough so that our grandson Chris could go with us on the trip.

This was a very challenging trip. Our luggage was lost so we only had the clothes we were wearing. The days were long. We usually arose at 5 AM and didn’t get to bed until after 11 PM. The weather in the area of Guatemala we were in was hot and humid. In the midst of this, as we sat in La Tinta Guatemala preparing a meal, we began to sing “Draw me Lord, Oh Draw me Lord and I will run after you.” At that moment we knew this was what God had called us to do.

We have a passion for children, a desire and willingness to serve, a love for Guatemala and a heart for God.

Our Mission

Kallenbach Missions serves God by serving His children, providing hope in the midst of despair, providing joy where there is sadness and to bring light where there is darkness.

"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:14

It is our desire to be a physical demonstration of God's love. We fulfill this by providing food, clothing, school supplies, medical and dental care and providing the children with an education. This is achieved through our partnership with Amar Es Servir school and ministry in Guatemala City.

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. Assuredly I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:35-36, 40

Our Vision

Our vision is to change the children's lives from hopelessness to joy by: Our vision is to bring light in the midst of darkness by:

Demonstrating God's love to the people
Teaching God's Word
Assisting believers to become rooted and grounded in the Word of God
Spreading God's Word throughout the World through support of missionaries

Our Methods

We achieve our mission by:

Hosting short term mission teams to Guatemala and surrounding areas
Partnering with local ministries in Guatemala and the United States
Supporting missionaries in Guatemala and neighboring countries
